Missing some wonderful characters

As usual fun begins with a new case for Elizabeth and the gang. However I really missed Chris and Donna and Bogdan! I’m not sure why they were basically absent from most of the story! I also wish the narrator of the first 2 books was back, she was so much better than this narrator.

He has done it again!

Book 5 and still as good as the first. Osman’s characters are as interesting as ever. Their quips and side comments make me smile every time. Great plot and great performance by Fiona Shaw. Will he write another? I really hope so because I will miss them. Love you Thursday Murder Club!

Now old friends

I love the humanity of the characters and the values they represent. I think it’s great that the cast of characters are expanding in an organic manner. Also, I totally dig the Middlemarch allusions.

So glad the gang is back!

Both the writing and the narration are simply masterful. I miss these characters so much between publishing— please please Sir Richard Osman—- keep them coming! I’d like a Thursday Murder Club vacation tour of the UK if any travel companies happen to read this review. And a cookbook. And of course Netflix mini series - not the movie. Too short. This much incredible character development takes time. But I did like the movie just unable to get the required details, of course. Richard Osman - any chance you host writing conferences? Lecture anywhere? I’d like that too. Very much. (I’m using my Joyce voice if you didn’t notice). Sigh. Now I wait the months or years until the gang returns. What to do…. Thank you for a yet another wonderful piece of writing.
