As usual, Sinclair Lewis delivers an engaging story in straightforward prose, filled with witty sarcasm and with apparent understanding of love and growing old with dignity. Bravo!

The Triumph of Love over Control

A book written nearly a century ago that is as relevant as one written yesterday. Sinclair Lewis explores a mature relationship of a married couple who are strong for each other when needed and who support each other at all times. An entertaining and enjoyable story as these innocents walk half way across the country to get away from a nagging and domineering daughter and her overbearing husband as the world throws whatever daggers it can at them. I cannot believe that I have lived so long without enjoying a Sinclair Lewis novel and now I have listened to and enjoyed almost all of them.
