I loved Pastor Jack’s instructions on how to get the most from daily reading. I changed my goal. I was reading too much and too fast to absorb the lessons in every line. Don’t just read with your mind, he told me. Get in the spirit. Apply the lessons to your life. Use outside sources for the history and for deeper meaning and meditate on the passages that provoke the most thought. Above all, never forget you are reading “The Jesus Book.” I am still putting these ideas into practice
