The extraordinary new adventure from the #1 New York Times- bestselling author.

Jungles come in many forms. There are the steamy rain forests of the Burmese highlands. There are the lies and betrayals of the world of covert operations. And there are the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon must survive them all.

A devastating new weapon unleashed in thirteenth-century China...a daring rescue in the snowbound mountains along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border...a woman gone missing in the jungles of northern Thailand and Myanmar...for Cabrillo and his crew, all of these events will come together-leading to the greatest threat against U.S. security that the world has ever known.

I love the Oregon Files and this one doesn't disappoint. Can't wait to se what the crew of the Oregon has coming next. Jason Culp did a good job but I definitely missed Scott Brick. Bricks narration gave everyone a cool edge whereas Culp's kinda gave everyone a dweeby nasal sound.

What made the experience of listening to The Jungle the most enjoyable?

Good story and attention getting writing but... it was difficult at best to enjoy with the various attempts with accents used by narrator which detracted from the story in such a way that it may have better to have just read the book outright.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jason Culp’s performances?

no

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

two sittings

Any additional comments?

It would be terrific if the male and female voices were used by male and female narrators.

Once an avid fan of Cussler, he went through quite a flat spot in the last 5 or so years. This one is old school, a formula book that really works for me!

I read or listen to these books to be taken away on a flight of fancy...however, this narrator is just...painful to listen to. Everyone is different I know, but he's killing me...slowly and with every cheesy accent.

Painful narration

Where is my Scott Brick? Mr Culp was so bad with the different voices..well, I almost didn’t finish.

Worst narration
