This riveting 19th Century secondary source document contains little-known personal narratives of enslaved Americans in search of freedom. The reading is outstanding, but further editing is required to remove slight repetition of phrases here and there.

Superb historical document

Great, true story that is both heartbreaking and inspiring. While I love the narrators voice, someone forgot to edit it so many of the mistakes are left in. It’s not too annoying though.

Someone should make the story into a movie!

Oh my goodness. The narrator is horrible. She is talking so fast, I can't even enjoy the story. Never purchase a book using this narrator.

Horrible...a complete waste
