Really good bridge

Loved the first book, REALLY unique and interesting twist starting in book 2 and really happy with the shift from your standard military sci-fi

Great military sci-fi from a new Author

The Last Commander is a first-person novel that follows in the footsteps of scifi giants like Heinlein’s Starship Troopers, without It being a copy or derivative work.

The story follows the life of a private in a future timeline were personal AI assistants are standard issue in all military helmets and HUD’s in general. The AI is a prick. And a wiseass. You’ll love it.

The AI grows on our private as he battles through the vicissitudes of military life and combat.m, fighting for survival on both landscapes.

The narrator is excellent, managing to clearly and accurately convey different characters with their rounded personalities and seesawing emotions. His voice is a low base with a bit of a rumble that is both soothing and engaging all at once.

Give this new book and new author a chance! You’ll e pleasantly surprised with the story and the narration.
