Reasonably well read, and of course this is a beautiful and timeless story. I wish we had more authors like this fellow. One for the ages.

Beautiful imagery with a brutal storyline. Historical references and information make story even more real to the reader. Intriguing undertones of race and class during its time. Wonderful book to listen to, voice actor was perfect 👌

Beautifully written, Historical, Heartbreaking

I love old English novels, so I am used to the language, but this was very difficult to follow especially given all the native American names and terms. Not my favorite performance .

A difficult book to follow.

Loved the energy that the narrator had for the entire novel. I wish he would narrate the other Leatherstocking tales. Would recommend for a family to listen to this classic together.

Wonderful narrator!

There are a lot of weird and badly done recordings for this novel. Use this one; the reader is excellent at narration and character work and actually pronounces terms correctly. Highly recommended.

This is the definitive recording
