For Elaine, Cyrus, and Ezekiel, the swift passage of 12 years felt like merely a blink of an eye. Elaine had blossomed into a young maiden of 16, while Prince Cyrus matured into a dignified young man of 21. His brother, Ezekiel, was not far behind at 19. To the far west of the Kingdom of Eden, the nation of Araphel stretched its shadowy tendrils.

An enigmatic land, cloaked in an omnipresent darkness, it was a nation that prized strength above all else. This sleeping behemoth now stirred from its slumber. It embarked on a campaign, slowly yet inexorably extending its reach eastward, toward the unsuspecting Kingdom of Eden. The quiet days of peace seemed numbered as this ominous power began to awake, casting a threatening shadow over their peaceful lands.
