The Lemon Man is Patrick Callen, a bicycle-riding hitman with mild OCD in Dublin, Ireland, whose carefully ordered life is totally upended when he becomes the accidental caretaker of a baby boy. Now he's got to balance his daily to-do list of errands and murders-for-hire with his unexpected domesticity, which impacts him and his work in ways he never expected...and that could get him killed.

This was a fun book with a protagonist hit man that you can’t help but like. The reader’s soft Irish accent gave the story much warmth. I look forward to listening to more adventures from the Lemon Man.

I am giving this book five stars despite the fact that I wasn't entirely satisfied with how it ended. I felt like I needed a bit more closure with Keano. Having said that, I LOVED everything else about The Lemon Man. It was fast paced, humorous, dark, exciting. I loved Patrick's "to do" lists. The descriptions of the sights, sounds, smells, character of Dublin were so incredible. I felt like I was right there with him. I also enjoyed all of the descriptions of what Patrick was cooking. Normally when a book contains a lot of descriptions, I find it mundane. But these were brief, relevant and perfectly worded. I thought this was a really great read...couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Fast Paced, Original Concept, Excellent Narration

What a Fun book, from a debut novelist. If I’d had any idea all of the great adventures I could have had as a, ‘hit woman,’ from stealing an infant to adventures I can’t share or spoil, as you romp through DUBLIN, the Emerald Isle, I would have adventures all day long! And, it’s a miracle the baby survived the slapstick, but well meaning goof ball care😂
Just a fun book with one mishap after another, and great news: In chatting w/the author I’ve learned the sequel will be out mid 2023, with more adventures of the Lemon Man.
The narration is excellent and the story moves right along, keeping one entertained from start to finish. And we don’t have to change a single nappy! Well done!
