Discover the rich tapestry of classical education by listening to The Liberal Arts Tradition: A Philosophy of Christian Classical Education, narrated by British voice artist Michael Groves. This audiobook is your ticket to an enchanting world where the liberal arts aren't just subjects but are keys to unlocking the full potential of classical education.

Dive into a paradigm that can only be described as a symphony of piety, gymnastics, music, liberal arts, philosophy, and theology. As you uncover classical educators’ age-old techniques, you’ll learn how to shape well-rounded individuals who pursue the true, the good, and the beautiful.

I wish I could listen to this as I read along but the lack of ability to turn off the footnotes makes it impossible. I wish it did not automatically read them... it makes trying to read this impossible.

too many footnotes

The quality of production on this audiobook is the worst I have ever heard. The mic quality leaves much to be desired and there are multiple times when the audio was clearly cut and dubbed over. The narrator also mispronounces words quite frequently. The audiobook also reads EVERY SINGLE FOOTNOTE! It is very annoying. Just get the physical/digital copy of the book and do not waste your time or money on the audiobook.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to be learning when I got this book. I learned several things while listening to this book. 1. That the education I received at a Christian school came nowhere near what was described as a liberal Christian education. 2. The comparison between the two styles of education may be an explanation as to why many students leave the church after graduation. As the one layers religion on top of the other studies, but it is not integrated as it is described in this book.
Overall, I think this is a good book and a good plan to educate children nowadays. I wish I had had this level of education as I was coming up through primary and secondary and I also wish my daughters had had the same chance. I do recommend this book. As I believe it has a lot of instruction that is useful to today’s society.
