If you could sum up The Light Princess in three words, what would they be?

Contains deepest truth

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Light Princess?

When they jump from the cliff into the water and she asks him whether that's what you call "falling in"...She's beginning to learn what falling in love means.

What does Nicki White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is absolutely fabulous - we get a double masterpiece because of her reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Any additional comments?

This is as near a perfect story as there can be: it's entertaining, and it depicts in an allegorical way that's not at all didactic the deepest truths about true love. The prince is a passionate lover, and yet, the good of his beloved comes before anything else - which makes his love truly pure and all the more attractive.
