I just don’t like the virtual voice but the book was good and I liked the plot of the story

Story was good

This book is strange to say the least. The AI doesn't help that's for sure, but it is hard to care for or even remotely like these characters. The lead character gives me the heebie-jeebies and the AI makes it even worse. He is literally a Serial killer...a cold blooded, hideously awful serial killer...( it's impossible to have compassion for ANY of these characters, except the baby). but the dude just with no explanation kills and he does over and over and over again. There are plot holes, loose ends, and I just don't care moments. I only finished it because I paid cash and Audible wouldn't give me my money back. So, I muscled through to the excruciating end and the ending was over so quickly that I actually rewound it three times to make sure it wasn't a glitch.... Middle Falls this is NOT.....and that's my 2 cents worth

This is the worst AI I have ever heard.

The AI narration SUCKS! The story was alright. Lots of plot holes and loose threads throughout. The ending seemed rushed which accounts for the loose threads. If you like this genre though, The Middle Falls Time Travel Series by Shawn Inmon blows this out of the water!

AI narrations is awful

A sequel to The Many Lives of Ivy Wells... decent story line, but the virtual voice is just annoying. Even at 1.3X the narration is too slow and the pauses are unnatural and irritating.
Edit - I was only halfway through when I wrote the above. The story actually got worse - I have no patience for a dumb main character. Rating adjusted

The virtual... voice is... distracting... at best
