Lord Lockwood, on the other hand, might be wise to understand that it will take more than pushing into Lord Hugh's house party to win this particular battle.

Excellent!

I really enjoyed this second book , the first one was hard to get through. Charlie the unlikely hero was my favorite and added such fun and good humor. The Blanding family was just intolerable but Lockwood by contrast was just perfect.

Narration doesn't help

Struggled with the narrator and different but so so writing.

I found myself losing track of the story line because almost anything could catch my attention instead.

Excellent story

I love that king Charles the second made his presence known. He was my favorite character in the story a classic opportunist.

Who are you, a friend or foe? An enjoyable full bodied book. I'm enjoying this series.
