not quite as good as the first book. I love the narrator, the story itself is lacking.

What about Julia Motyka’s performance did you like?

Julia Motyka is perfect for the Dorian's voice, he comes to life. She does an excellent job with all the voices, to the point you don't notice the narrator and feel like they are real people talking. A truly great narrator disappears so you are swept away with only the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wasn't able to finish in one day, so finished it in 2 days. So excited for the next installment
of the Accidental Alchemist. Had to re-listen to book one again, then on to book two. :-)

Any additional comments?

I hope Tobias is a regular in the continuing books, he is great. Love Dorian, Zoe, and Ivan. Got a little sick of Brixton, he's such a whinny kid.
How long before the next book? Soon I hope!

Great modern day mystery series

A fantastical set of characters against the backdrop of modern day Portland, plus a great mystery...what's not to love? I look forward to the next installment.

Bravo to Julia Motyka as well. Challenging vocal work, but well performed accents, dialects, and age ranges.

Lived in the moment

Loved this part 2 of a 3 part series. The characters are true too life. Once you start listening it is so very hard to pause for sleep. But, on a lazy weekend it was well worth the time. I will be enjoying it again! Thank you for this mysteriously fun adventure.
