A home where they could practice their beliefs without fear of persecution. But in order to make that happen, the Pilgrims had to face many insurmountable obstacles.

The story of the Pilgrims is one of unimaginable odds. Somehow, they had to finance their voyage and then survive it. Finally, they would have to establish a colony in uncharted territory and find a way to make peace with its inhabitants, who were by no means happy to have their homes invaded.

The difficult voyage of 102 persons reduced to 50 after a winter of disease shows the resiliency of our founders.

Very entertaining

After listening to this audiobook, I found it to be very entertaining and knowledgeable. I learnt a lot from this book. Plus the Narrator’s voice was great to listen to.

Great overview of the reality of the Mayflower.

This book gave a realistic view of the actual harsh reality surrounding the facts of what happened before, during and after the voyage of the Mayflower. It gives a unbiased look at what the separatists and native Americans went through regarding the Pilgrims and colonists settling in America. Also great narration.
