I regret purchasing it.

I should have listened to a clip of the narration before buying. The narrator’s manner of speaking bothers me. Sounds like he is trying to sound like Gladwell but with annoying paralanguage. Plus the content was lacking or rather did not meet my expectations.

I'd rather sit through a PowerPoint presentation on IRS tax code...

I found myself wondering many times why I was even listening to this as it was an incredibly difficult and boring listen. Truth be told, I only made it as far as I did because someone recommended it to me. (I'm going to have a serious conversation with them on why...) I saw the 3.5 stars and didn't look at the comments so I could form my own opinion. Had I though, I would have found the negatives spot on.

I think there is some positive content to glean, after all, the author has written several other books. But it's overshadowed by narration that is difficult to not fall asleep to. Possibly, had the author narrated, and inferred better tonality where he had intended, it may have been more interesting. But the endless step-by-step checklists make it feel like you signed up for a bad 90's how-to guru, that has a bad acronym for everything.

Full disclosure, I made it until about 2.5 hours left before I just couldn't take it anymore. You've been warned. Trust the reviews. Buy a different book.
