Kelsey Bloom has been living a lie, hiding in plain sight from the past that broke her, and everything is going according to plan.

She has made herself at home in the small town of Sanlow, Montana, and her life seems perfect from the outside...until she’s attacked by someone who claims to know her secrets.

The wounds are deep and the consequences will last a lifetime, but she can’t tell anyone what happened to her, not even her husband. One word and her cover will be blown.

While she struggles to recover from the trauma, her attacker is found dead in the lake close to where the attack happened.

She was the last person to see him alive.

As Kelsey tries to understand exactly what happened that fateful night, she makes a shocking discovery. She’s a pawn in a deadly game that could end with her death or the loss of her freedom.

Is she strong enough to fight back, or is it game over?

I am not sure what happened but it got stale. The same words over and over. This main character would be a total flake and honestly makes me shrill as a woman.

Lost my interest

If you can handle the grade school writing, there’s actually a story and it’s riveting enough to keep my interest. It was cringe worthy, but not dull. There’s the entertainment value to consider.
Basically, a women with a past who is broken, marries a sociopath. The details of the premise is ridiculous but again, I just went with it... at least I wasn’t bored. Her predicament is understandable but without any spoilers ... there are decisions I don’t understand. So there is that, but that’s with most domestic thrillers. I suppose not everyone reacts to extreme situations the same way. I’m mainly knocking off stars because there are books written with such cleverness and humor it isn’t fair to those authors to give the same rating. This author is creative, but unpolished. It’s worth a credit and I’ll probably read another book by her.

Absolutely awful... but

Kept my attention every moment. Found the story riveting and surprised me in a few turns. I usually can guess the ending in similar story’s...not this book! I didn’t want to put it down. I read her first book and equally enjoyed the story line, and ready to read her next book.

Excellent
