My first John Pilkington book and I loved it— great time period, interesting story, and characters I liked. Intelligent dialogue. I listened straight through and then listened to book 1 of his Marbeck series, which is also excellent. Most books in both series don’t appear to be on audio yet and that’s a shame. Definitely recommend.
