Two Bestselling Agatha Christie Novels in One Great Audiobook

The Mysterious Affair at Styles

Hercule Poirot solves his first case in the Agatha Christie novel that started it all.

Who poisoned the wealthy Emily Inglethorp and how did the murderer penetrate and escape from her locked bedroom? Suspects abound in the quaint village of Styles St. Mary—from the heiress's fawning new husband to her two stepsons, her volatile housekeeper, and a pretty nurse who works in a hospital dispensary.

With impeccable timing, and making his unforgettable debut, the brilliant Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is on the case.

The ABC Murders

Agatha Christie’s beloved classic The ABC Murders sets Hercule Poirot on the trail of a serial killer.

There’s a serial killer on the loose, working his way through the alphabet and the whole country is in a state of panic.

A is for Mrs. Ascher in Andover, B is for Betty Barnard in Bexhill, C is for Sir Carmichael Clarke in Churston. With each murder, the killer is getting more confident—but leaving a trail of deliberate clues to taunt the proud Hercule Poirot might just prove to be the first, and fatal, mistake.

I loved listening to Hugh Frasier. At first all I could hear was him (which wasn't all bad), as I love the Poitot TV series, but soon I was lost in the story. Excellent narrator.

Fantastic to listen to Hastings

These two are worth listening to, even though these are likely not Christie's best books.

Great audiobook performance

I particularly love the introduction of characters, it's a really important and can easily be messed up. One of the best aspects about Poirot is his outrageous appearance and mannerisms. Though what keeps you is his ORDER and METHOD, his two Gods. I love the contrast between Hastings and Poirot, how they play off of each other. Another aspect of Agatha Christie's books is the time period, you can't get away from that. It's so interesting how similar and different the this period was to present day. You can understand the motivations and desires of the characters while also noting the how the customs and social expectations of the day shape the way they act. It's kind of funny what passes as a bold independent woman in the 1920's.

Agatha Christie stories are some for the best whether you usually like crime or not. and Hugh Fraser is the best voice for them.

Hugh Fraser for the win

Really good performance by the reader. I think he did a great job. The stories overall are also good no complaints but some of the other mysteries are better. I wouldn’t start with these two together but go with one that are more famous.

Captivating
