Obsession sounds like love.

Some love stories are confessions.

Some are traps.

When Yvette Palmer returns a misdelivered package to her volatile neighbor, she expects a slammed door.

Instead, she’s invited inside.

Mona Smith doesn’t want her mail.

She wants someone to listen.

What begins as curiosity becomes compulsion as Mona unravels the story of her obsessive affair with a married professor—brilliant, powerful, intoxicating. He saw her. Studied her. Isolated her.

And loved her in ways that felt like worship . . . and ownership.

The more Mona confesses, the harder it becomes for Yvette to pull away. Because the story doesn’t feel finished.

It feels unfinished.

As pieces of Mona’s past begin to echo into Yvette’s present, suspicion takes root. Is Mona a victim? A manipulator? Or something more dangerous?

And if the man Mona loved is still watching . . .

Yvette may already be part of the story.

In this psychologically charged romance about obsession, vulnerability, and the stories we tell to survive, love is not a rescue.

Couldn't make it past chapter 4. Made absolutely no sense. Just one woman telling another woman about her boring past. Nothing like the description.

Long boring story that was rushed at the end. The worst part was the narration, was it even edited or reviewed? Many chapters ended abruptly in the middle of a word and each new sentence repeated the sentence from the last chapter. How annoying.
