The fantastic exercises that really made me face some challenging insights about things I have been dealing with in my relationships over the past 25 years and I didn't even know it.

I have been waiting for a book like this!!

I resonated with this book and the author right from the start. I had been peripherally aware of a deep rooted belief that "It is not safe for me to rely on anyone but myself" based on early childhood experiences where I had to fend for myself. Over my last 7 year relationship, this bottom-of-the-barrel belief has expressed itself as "If I rely on you, I'll be annihilated if/when you let me down." The steps in this book have helped me to face this belief head-on and see that I am the true source of my safety and love; not because others are unreliable or can't be trusted, but because I can't recognize love from another until I see/feel it in myself. My partner and I are reading it together and the exercises are really helping us communicate from a place of love and not fear. Highly recommend for both singles and couples!

Do the lessons

This is a great book if you take the time to do the lessons. I listened to it and did the lessons including the meditations. There is a lot to learn and process as you go through the lessons. The author makes you take a look at yourself from all perspectives which at times isn’t pretty, but it's great to see where change is needed. By the end of the book the word vulnerability won’t cause anyone to flinch.
