But then it gets worse. Our nanny accuses me of leaving my baby face down on her stomach, struggling to breathe. I might be exhausted, but I would never do that. But when I look to Ned for support, I can see he doesn’t believe me.

Meh….

I felt that none of the characters were likable. And if I heard the words, “my baby”, one more time, I would’ve vomited. All in all, it was very far fetched.

THE EPILOGUE THOOOO

I almost got whiplash from all the twists and turns! gave me FREIDA MCFADDEN vibes but better!!

Modern “Hand that Rock the Cradle”

The story was very similar to the movie “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle“ with an interesting twist at the end I didn’t see coming.

First time I’ve read this author, I like the modern story.

Give me more postpartum/early motherhood years thrillers!!!! So fun!

4.5 rounded up - there are definitely some stock characters in the cast and the mother didn't seem like a real person (she acted more in service of the plot than honestly) but it was gripping, excellently paced, and delicious. As a (somewhat) new mom, I can't resist fun stories set during the tumultuous postpartum period. I definitely recommend, this was a blast!
