The Ninth Inning

Cole Anders is in his last season at Fullton State. If he doesn't get drafted this year, he'll be forced to hang up his cleats for good. It's not something he's ready to do.

To prove he's serious about his final season, he's given up girls. No more casual hookups, dates, or one-night stands. But there's one girl who has always refused to give up on him. One girl who has been there since the start of freshman year. One girl he stupidly assumed would always be waiting for him when he got off the field, no matter how long it took.

Christina's had enough of Cole pushing her aside for baseball. She's grown tired of waiting for him to see what she's known since they were freshmen - that they are good together. She's finally moved on - for good this time.

I loved it

when I first started this story it's just a baseball story. the writer made me laugh, had me talking to the reader. and crying. it was great.

Another Baseball Hit

This was no Jack Carter story, but it was pretty good to say the least. I didn't care for the female narrator, but the story was good. Really looking forwad to listening to Chase Carter's story.

A really good book

Ok I don't do spoilers but if you like baseball and love romance then you have to read this book. All the characters are good with the exception of one. Love Jason Clarks and Erin Mallons voices these two could read the phone book and it would be wonderful.

Play Ball!

This is the first book I have listened to by J. Sterling. The baseball theme caught my attention since I love the game (Yea, Oakland A’s). Cole and Christina were two very likable characters. Erin and Jason did an excellent job voicing them and bringing their characters to life.

This was so well written that I could actually feel the chemistry of them together. Cole would be a great catch because he plays baseball and is very thoughtful. I love how open the door for her and is gentle towards her. Some parts of the story made me sigh. I want a guy like Coke, ha ha.

I laughed and cried listening to this. Cole’s relationship with his dad is just so sweet. I feel in love with all the characters with the exception of one.

I totally recommend this book!

Tepid overall

Plot had potential, just spoiled by repetitive lag in the middle of the story. Besides the MC’s relationship drama, the tension portrayed between teammates vying for a spot on the field was intense. I found the “business of baseball” portion of this story more interesting than the romantic relationship.
