Is it possible to develop an all-inclusive vision of God that can satisfy scientists, philosophers, and priests at the same time—one that can help you deepen your own connection to the divine? It is, teaches best-selling author Ken Wilber, if you are able to understand The 1-2-3 of God.

According to this premiere modern philosopher, the seemingly innumerable ways humans conceptualize God can actually be broken down into three basic perspectives. From this simple 1-2-3 foundation, it is then possible to understand how God has been perceived in different religions and cultures throughout history—and how you can broaden your own experience of the ultimate to an integral level.

• The I, We, and It views of God—how different religions and spiritual paths tend to focus on only one of these three fundamental ways of relating to the divine
• Is there really a God? Ken Wilber's direct—and surprising—answer
• God in the AQAL model—how Wilber's integral framework can help you connect with spirit at every state and stage
• Guided sessions for deeply experiencing each of the three aspects of God—mystical, devotional, and objective

Through his bestselling books and his work as founder and president of the Integral Institute, Ken Wilber has become one of the world's most recognized and respected pioneers of modern spirituality. With The 1-2-3 of God, he now brings his unique gift for lucid insight to the most essential question asked by spiritual seekers throughout history: What is the true nature of God? Includes Levels of Consciousness reference card.

This is more repetition and rebranding from Wilber who has joined the likes of Stephen Covey and Marcus Buckingham in trying to milk his one big idea to death. The meditation at the end is not bad - more of this please Ken.

More rebranding and rehash

Reading Ken Wilber will open you up to a new way of looking at this thing we call life. Start with this, listen to it about ten times to really take it in. Try moving on to an integral life practice (ILP). An ILP makes many personal growth practices look like kindergarten compared to grad school, especially those new age/magical "practices" that seem to catch our attention.

WOW! This is the best!

I have to disagree with a previous reviewer who saw this discussion as a rehash of Wilber's other books. Yes, it builds on his four-quadrant, multi-stage framework. But here, he adds another dimension to his work.

It would have been really confusing for most listeners if he hadn't reviewed his AQAL model in this discussion. I know I would have been lost if I hadn't read six of his other books. In fact, if you are a novice to Integral philosophy, this is not the best place to begin. "A Theory of Everything" is a good primer. Start there, but DO come back to this one!

Bottom line: Listening to this talk definitely deepened my understanding of integral spirituality! I highly recommend it.

Many "Ah-ha" Moments for me!

What did you love best about The One Two Three of God?

This is an excellent interview and discussion that allows the listener to hear a bit of how Ken Wilber thinks. Hearing Ken voice really helps in the understanding of integral spirituality. As a bonus, the last track is a meditation.

A fine time with a great mind.

This is a wonderful book and I've been blurting out what I've learnt to anyone prepared to listen for the last few days. I would recommend it to anyone who is confused about their spiritual development, not knowing where they stand or where they are heading. It's also a great book for anyone who like me sometimes feels slightly embarassed about having any religious belief at all and has to combat that uncomfortable feeling. Ken Wilber puts those feelings into perspective

Highly Recommended
