So worth the all night reading hangover

Don't start this book in the afternoon or evening as that might adversely affect your ability to go to bed/sleep that night.

Book 2 in the Burning Cove series has us once again in the 1930's. Once again we have a mysterious lady new to town becoming involved in the investigation of a sensational murder/accidental death. It was truly wonderful returning to the world of Burning Cove although this time we were introduced to a mostly new set of characters. I personally doubt that AQ can write a bad story. The biggest surprise to me with the number of books she has written is how she keeps creating such new plots.

JAK as Amanda Quick is back!!

to be honest the leading man was a bit dull, but the heroin made up for that. She was strong and resourceful. she was kind and most importantly not stupidity stubborn or whinny. the plot was a bit predictable towards the end but still told well. I liked this book and highly recommend it.

Another wonderful addition to my library!!!

I really enjoyed this book, especially the new era Ms. Quick has set this story in. As usual, the wait for this book did not disappoint!!! Great writing and loved the plot twists. 1

Wow! So fast paced and great mystery!

I loved this sequel in the burning cove series, I loved the mystery they solved and the different surprises that came up and how they resolved it. I also loved the small entrances of characters from the first book that interacted with Adaline and Jake. The romance between them was so great as well. I loved it!

Decent

I enjoyed the characters and the story. Got drawn out at the end. if they said Import Export Business one more time I was going to scream.
