Ebony had a secret...an ill-advised relationship with a married man in the church sent Ebony down a path of regret, which led to an unplanned pregnancy. When the pressure of being the pastor's daughter and carrying a married man's child weighs upon her, emotions flare. Shortly afterwards, she threatens to publicize the entire affair, deciding to bear the consequences of the matter.

After an untimely event, and unprecedented conviction, Ebony is forced to confess as she battles with thoughts of betrayal to God, the church, and herself.

I was somewhat disappointed in this book. It is a short book but thought the story line could have been better. This is a book to give people a message. I just don't think it will be heard.

Where to begin? I found myself engulfed in the message of this book. It is written for those who walk in faith and choose to live a sacred life before the Lord. We all make mistakes, and Ebony bluntly shares the horror of her mistakes. This book touch my emotions deeply and I saw a wounded girl, seeking forgiveness. So many people can relate to that concept. You may not have committed the act Ebony did, but there may be areas in your life where forgiveness is needed. The is a POWER message to the church. After searching I found out this book in only part 1 in the series. You can tell by the author's style that he is an avid believer of Christ. The church scene where Evangelist Allen preached actually felt like a real sermon. This book is filled with the right about of drama and biblical truths. You can feel Ebony's plea and from a certain perspective understand the pathway that led her down that way. Make no mistake. LUST is dangerous and the LORD is not pleased when we obey the deeds. It's time to get it right church and repent of your evil ways. This book is a wake up call for everyone. I don't know if this book was a testimony or a story. Either way, the message it delivered is we must maintain HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD! I will recommend this book to everyone. Especially the church!

Although I expected some rebellion, I did not think the story would end like this. It has a good moral ending.

Repentance

The storyline is relevant to current issues. For such a short book there were a lot of characters and it was difficult to keep track of them. I didn't care for the narrator unfortunately.

I had a couple issues with this book.

This was a difficult book to listen to because the narrator seemed to be rushing through the book. I had to re-listen to this book several times to get the message.

The message was good and sound and I definitely got what the author was trying to give across. The narrator let the book down.

Good message, narrator isn’t great!
