Absorbing Gother Fairy Tale

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 on the basis of very good narration by Louise Williams (atmospheric voice exactly matched the atmospheric nature of the tale).

A lovely wicked tale of revenge and anger. Well read and easy to get into! Morbid and a little disturbing….. but so good!!

Victorian esq horror

I'm a big sucker for Victorian style horror stories plus the little fairy tales told within the book were so good! I was hooked and couldn't stop listening!

Really enjoyed the gothic style and voices.

I have enjoyed this book and the last one, The murmuring bones due to the gothic style and female fatale leads. The voice acting is also excellent and works perfectly with the book.

I loved this book! So dark, kind, and good. This would make a wonderful movie.
