Compelling and Well Put

Weither I end up becoming a full time pastor or not, what a great insight into the life they must live for the sake of the church. That ending is so moving. Thank you to brother Jamieson for writing this great addition to the 9Marks collection.

Much needed book

As someone who is contemplating and praying about becoming a pastor, this book was very convicting and encouraging. It gives a clear path forward on what to do in the waiting before becoming a pastor. Highly recommend reading this book!

Quality and biblical truth, also very applicable

I saw the reviews, and 1) that left a one star review, and saw what disqualified him immediately from eldership, and I could see why he would be upset. The second one said that it didn’t go into enough depth about this topic… this book goes into as much depth as the Bible talks about eldership. My assumption is, that is a female looking for a particular narrative to become an elder and didn’t find it in the book.

This book goes in depth on how a person is qualified or disqualified, what you should be doing if you’re qualified, and what practices you should put in place. It’s very challenging to your character. Definitely worth the listen if you aspire to be an elder!
