Sappy but good

I’m more of a mystery/thriller kind of reader and don’t usually go for sappy romance type stories, but, as far as that goes, this wasn’t bad. You could kind of “predict” what was going to happen; 3 woman, all licking their wounds from terriable love affairs or lack thereof and so on/ lots of cliches, ice tea and snacks.

Of course, things are tough for these three friends in the newly established custom bridal shop, but, they persevere and build the business.

So much detail is given to individuals and situations and side stories, then, at the end, it’s all wrapped up in less than 20 mins. Worth of story. I would have loved to know the outcome of some of the side characters whose stories were discussed in detail but then were forgotten.

The main 3 characters story plays like a big girls get even with the prom queen sequel. All the cutesy girls were evil wenches, and, the three plus/tall sizers were always in the right. They are all tall, some big and tall, beautiful and have long gorgeous hair. I can’t go further without spilling the beans.

It is super sugary sweet but I COULD NOT STOP LISTENING and rooting for the lead players to win. There are some interesting scenarios that develop and I’m glad I did get the book and gave it a chance. The narrator was fabulous and I recommend this book.

The only thing that left me hanging was the neat little ending that wrapped everything up in a gift box after most of the book being told in minute detail.

1st time I've read this author...thumbs up!

New author, I enjoyed her characters and story line. I will definitely look for other books she's written.

Completely relatable in today's time

In our 2019 "weight and size" obsessed Western culture, this book is a sweet, easy to listen to and read story about plus size women their struggles and their thoughts. It is very relatable for anyone who isn't the perfect size 6 which in reality how many of us really are?
