wow- I learned so much!

I had honestly never heard of the "pig butchering scam" before listening to this book. I learned so much, and can see how easy it would be to fall into the trap of these scammers. Their tactics are so advanced and they have figured out how to get around all of our usual safeguards and "red flag checks." I found the personal testimonies and stories very moving. The amount of money that these people lost was just staggering- and to think that most of them had to borrow money from friends or family in the process is horrifying. I am sure that is damaging to relationships. I am somewhat of an "expert" in the field of human trafficking due to my job, but had absolutely no idea that scammers actually use trafficking victims to perpetrate some of these scams. That they have no choice and are forced to participate due to their entrapment. That takes this to an entirely new level of inhumane. My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered from this scam, and I highly recommend listening to this book. It is both engaging, and informative, and definitely worth the listen!

A really eye opening book

I learned a lot about things I have never thought about, such as what I should do if I did get scammed, like reporting to the FBI and USSS and that there are people who are being forced to scam against their will.  I thought most scammers were greedy and scammed on their own will but did not realize there are people trapped in buildings who are forced to do the horrible acts when they thought they were simply applying for a good paying job. Also, I cannot believe how many people have already gotten victimized by the PBS.  This craziness needs to be stopped! We need to make more people aware of these latest scams that are going on so that the scammers will not rob any more people. Thank you to the author for bravely writing this book and sharing her story and other victims' stories.

I used to think people who became victims of scams were either greedy or stupid. Well, no more. The author of this book was a victim and lost her life savings. Here she shares how it happened to her and others. The stories are heartbreaking and could happen to anyone. Read this book to learn how to avoid the traps and what to do if it happens to you. This book is a public service announcement.

Just couldn’t believe…

It is a very powerful book. Who would think that you would be a victim of an organized international crime like this! Still unsolved, victims are struggling mentally and financially with suicidal thoughts.. crazy..
Great book to read to understand the current cyber crimes targeting innocent hard working people. I’m hoping that US government will find solutions and execute them asap.
