With more at stake than ever before, The Red Knight faces an uncertain future and is forced to team up with old enemies to defeat a greater evil in the fourth book in the Traitor Son Cycle.

One enemy has fallen. But a greater one still remains. Now, it's war.

With one army defeated in a victory which will be remembered through the ages, now the Red Knight must fight again.

For every one of his allies, there is a corresponding enemy. Spread across different lands, and on sea, it will all come down to one last gamble. And to whether or not the Red Knight has guessed the foe's true intentions.

With each throw of the dice, everything could be lost.

Another great installment in the Red Knight saga! It's one of my favorite series.

I'll be sad when it's over. This book sets up for the grand finale.

Number 4, the novels get better each time, I re-listened to books one thru three before reading this one, I think it made it more enjoyable.

Truly great

Cameron is a deft hand at continuously expanding his cast of arrogant yet competent soldiers and royalty. Each character is given moments to shine and honor is paid to past characters and relationships as well.

That said, for those reading for pure combat and armor-buckling grit: the plot of this book is a -lot- of scoutings, preparations, and council meetings. It seems like an extended resolution to the previous book, but hopefully pays for the next book to be epic.

Solid connective tissue
