Did the greatest baseball player in history, Babe Ruth, ever father a child of his own? History tells us that Babe Ruth married twice and both times adopted little girls. However, his well-documented flamboyant lifestyle provided many opportunities for him to father a child of his own. The Progeny explores the very real possibility/probability that such a child existed.

A wonderful, hopeful fiction. Great story idea and very well written. If you like baseball you are going to love this book.

A heart warming story

What started out as a pretty good concept for a book turned into more of a book for teens due to the narrator. This narrator sounded like the best reader in the eighth grade who could perfectly annunciate each consonant and vowel, but could not inflect the meaning of the story while reading. His insistence on using a long A for "a" and a long E in "the" became very annoying very quickly and continued throughout the book. I guess a new writer has to settle for a new narrator. Too bad for the author, Mark Rudes. He did a pretty good job of developing the story.

Should be in the young adult category due to narrator
