Wild, imaginative, crazily manic King/Bachman novel. I love this story and mirror novel Desperation. Great narration as well, esp great considering the novels constant mania and obsurdity at times. I'm on to desperation next and I have a feeling that I'll do this one again cuz its a hard novel to get thru an audio book. I feel like I missed alot. But even still I kno I loved this book, one of Kings best to me. This is about the eighth of his novels I've done recently, on my quest to do them all and so far this one is at the top with It and Insomnia.

King at his best

The master of storytelling does it again! I have never read an author that can draw such a vivid picture of life in a moment in words. It just amazes me when I get one of these books from King. They're not all like this (graphically detailed,) but this one is awesome. Frank mueller does an awesome job of reading as well. He translates the words into sound beautifully. It makes the pictures even more graphic. Just listen it's a fantastic read.

It was okay

It was ok enough. The performance was stellar and worth listening to, but the story itself was just ok. I haven’t yet read the sister novel... going to listen to that next.

Standard excellence but not a stand out

I can listen/read pretty much any Stephen King and be entertained. Few other authors are so apt and engaging me attention to their characters as King. Desperation was fabulous and ranked highly in my list.

This is alternate version in the sense that the story surrounds the plot line of Tak and his influence in an urban street. Engaging and enjoyable but between the two, I prefer Desperations story more so.

Performance was excellent. Would definitively listen to more of Frank Muller's narrations so that was well done.

Awesome premise, half-baked delivery

What did you love best about The Regulators?

I'm a diehard Stephen King fan, but this wasn't one of my favorite stories. Frank Muller's wonderful narration filled in some of the holes – the premise, itself, was great – but the ultimately story felt contrived and a bit messy.

Would you be willing to try another book from Stephen King? Why or why not?

Absolutely. Stephen King is a phenomenal writer, one of my favorites, and this is purportedly one of his weakest entries.

It's an interesting listen. Not the best, but worth your time if you have an extra credit lying around.
