As my core continues to grow in power, so do the challenges of Acalia's fearsome towers.

After crushing the Forest Tower and moving into a home big enough for my four companions and I, a period of relaxation feels much deserved. Fate has other plans for us, though.

When troubling news arrives from the South, we pack up our things and ride for adventure once again. Minh, Astra, Siobhan, and Brea ride beside me as we head deep into the riverlands of Souther Acalia. At the end of every coursing river, the Lake Tower waits, tall and imposing.

The Third Tower isn't as straightforward as it once was. Everyone keeps saying the same thing: The towers are harder than they've ever been, and the monsters that lurk there are far too powerful. With the strength of my enhanced core and the courage of allies, I know we will be up to the task.

My only worry is...can we do it in time?

Still hate that you can't just leave stars for reviews anymore though at this point I'd be typing this up anyway.

personally I enjoy Daniel's hamminess, and Rebecca always does a good job. narration is consistent and done very well.

now look, this series isn't groundbreaking. it's power fantasy and pretty easy to plot. it's a fun number of hours though and a good backdrop for my long drives.

keeping your expectations reasonable goes a long way. however...yes, the lore and story consistency and continuity is just poor. I won't say it's egregious like some you'd see in the genre, but it's easily noticable. I don't think it's game breaking though. This is not a story to go deep with, just one to enjoy, with a clear end goal and means to achieve it without the dreaded power creep. that's good enough for me. look forward to finishing the whole series.

Still a fun listen...that continuity though
