Viscount Simon Thackery has never really been interested in marriage.

Of course, he will have to marry one day but he’s rather reluctant to find himself a suitable wife in among the ton.

Unfortunately, he’s agreed to host his cousin, Sophia, for the Season but when she appears with her companion, Miss Clara Dynes, Simon can sense there is trouble brewing.

Miss Dynes is young, beautiful and certainly not old enough to be anyone’s companion!

So why is she hiding with the wallflowers instead of searching for a husband of her own?

What is it that she’s so afraid of?
And when things turn dangerous, will Simon be willing to push his reluctance aside and help her in the only way he can?

Robot voice okay most of the time. Wondered what a crusty was and finally figured out it was a curtsy.

Enough suspense along with inspirational story

Impressively developed for a novella.

Well-written, darling story that made me smile. A perfect quick read/listen! (Obviously, it is a novella, and so it moves fast. BUT it is written well.)

This is the first book by this author that i’ve encountered, and i look forward to reading more of her work!

AI narration is rarely ever as good as a real person reading, but it was satisfactory—i’ve heard better and worse; the story was still very enjoyable to listen to! (Note: i listened at 1.15-1.2 speed)

Excellent Novella

The story was good, but the AI reader lacks changes in the voices and does not say all the words correctly.

Mispronounced words from AI.

As another reviewer noticed, at leat one point the virtual voice says crusty instead of crusty. and the voice should be British

it is a sweet and clean regency story. it's a pleasant escape with two very likeable main characters.
