Great read!

The story is slow at first, but stay with it! It has crazy twists and turns. It’s scary, and dramatic, and sad, but well worth a good listen.

If your like me and miss the mystery machine then this book is for you. Kept me engaged from beginning to end. Fantastic listen!

performance could use some work

As always, R.C. is delightful with their masterful wordplay and inclusive world building.
the performance definitely had its rock-star moment in the last few chapters- problem is the the quality stuttered up until that point. for moments of soft heartbreak, creeping dread and other muted tones - they did great. that wasn't the case for any dialogue which would be louder/yelling or quick action.

Enchantingly Creepy

This book kept me on my toes, always wondering what secrets the main character and everyone else on the island were hiding! There were some good twists and turns along the way and I didn't quite see the ending unfolding the way it did. Loved the story and the narrator but did have to speed it up since the reading pace was a bit too slow for me personally. Definitely was not disappointed listening to this book!
