Crossover sensation Melissa de la Cruz created an instant New York Times best seller with the inventive Witches of East End.

In this follow-up, everything is going smoothly in North Hampton now that Joanna and her daughters, Ingrid and Freya, are allowed to perform magic again. But chaos erupts with the arrival of Freya’s twin brother, Freddie, who’s finally escaped from Limbo. And Freddie’s convinced that Freya’s fiancé, Killian Gardiner, is the one who landed him there in the first place.

love the whole saga and I wish the TV show would have been more true to the book

great listen

What made the experience of listening to The Serpent's Kiss the most enjoyable?

Great storyline, just enough of mystery and romance.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

My only issue with this story is the self-doubt and weakness in the female characters. Not necessary and not good role models for young women. "I think I hear danger, but I'm sure I'm wrong" "He seems evil, but I'm probably wrong"

What about Katie R. Schorr’s performance did you like?

She has a great voice and I like how she does the different voices.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I don't know but I'd definitely watch it.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Really love this series

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Katie R. Schorr?

absolutely!

Was The Serpent's Kiss worth the listening time?

not with this narrator

Any additional comments?

I ended up using the text to speech on my kindle and reading the book myself as I was very distracted by the poor narration.

narration very slow and stilted

I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series, but the 2nd one was such a challenge to get through. It just felt like the love story between Matt and Ingrid is forced and not much character growth. Maybe it's just me but I just felt this book was just okay. I don't think I will waste the time or money with the 3rd book.

It took me a while to finish this book.

Slow Not gripping. Great for young teens. Glad it was a free listen. Maybe I’m in a slump.
