Alive and living under a new identity. But why exactly was she on the run all those years ago, and what secrets are being kept now?

As Riley works to uncover the truth, her discoveries will put into question everything she thought she knew about her family. Average listen. Shouldn't be on your bucket list of listens, but if you have an extra credit, it isn't the worst book you can choose.

This was listed as a mystery. It wasn't.

What did you like best about The Silent Sister? What did you like least?

Best: Susan Bennett
Least: writing is too mainstream, not creative

Has The Silent Sister turned you off from other books in this genre?

'Fraid so.

What does Susan Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a gifted, natural ability to tell a story from varied viewpoints and make the characters as believable as possible.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Nope.

Any additional comments?

All the men are bad guys in this novel. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Repetitive self-doubt-then-final-redemption fare

Loved the story, and the mystery with all the twists and turns. Loved the narration, and the fact that it says "Book 1" in the title, already has me looking forward to the next one

By far, the BEST D.C. novel so far !!

Would you try another book from Diane Chamberlain and/or Susan Bennett?

I don't think this author has developed enough layers in her writing to keep it real.

Would you be willing to try another book from Diane Chamberlain? Why or why not?

I don't think she has the maturity to be really authentic. This was more like a Disney story than real life.

What about Susan Bennett’s performance did you like?

The characters were well defined, no confusion on who was talking.

Did The Silent Sister inspire you to do anything?

Not write like she did.

Too predictable
