Life is cheap in Murder City…

A young woman is dead, and another is missing. Two cases worlds apart. When an old friend throws Cutter a case involving the disappearance of a young woman from Detroit’s most prominent family, he sees an opportunity to make some quick cash to keep the bookies off his back. But he soon realizes his client’s problems are a lot more sinister than he thought and finds himself in too deep.

This neo-noir thriller will get the blood pumping and deliver a shocking ending that will leave listeners breathless as they discover The Sinful.

This was gritty and raw and showed the underbelly of crime where a life means nothing. Getting ahead and staying on top is the goal . This was a dark twisted adventure. Check it out. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Sin Filled Story

The story was pretty well written and the characters were well-developed. I was really drawn into the mystery and will be sure to check out the other Cutter books. My only real critique is that there should have been a different narrator since the entire book is written in first person and from Leroy Cutter’s perspective. This narrator did some of the voices well, but his version of what African American men and women should sound like left a lot to be desired. Some of the accents and inflections were quite cringey, but all in all it was a good read. Maybe I’ll check the sequels out in paperback just to be safe… lol.

Good story, but needs new narrator

I enjoyed this audiobook because it was action-packed with a good storyline and characters. The narrator Nico Fragoso did a good job of changing the voices. Mybonly criticism was the main character was too focused on himself. I felt it made the book too wordy and it took away from the flow.
