The book is well written. the audience rendition is pleasant and easy to listen to.

the only negative that I find in the entire book is towards the very end where the author speaks highly of the company uscca.
I am not sure if the author has made any amendments to his connection with uscca since the authoring of this book, however, I find that company to be a parasite within the community of the second amendment and firearms.

Outstanding must listen!

If you currently carry a firearm or are planning to do so, this book is highly recommended.

Good information

In my opinion the author did not give enough credence to open carry. I'm a retired police officer and retired military. I'm on the road a lot I open carry in every state except Illinois and California. I believe that the more people see a good guy with a firearm they will be less alarmed. I also find myself being friendlier and more polite to the general public. It makes them more comfortable and lets them know that bad guys aren't the only ones armed. My situational awareness keeps my gun away from anyone wanting to snatch it. Over the years I've had many people smile, give me a thumbs up, and even engage in conversation about my weapon. I've had one negative encounter. I was in a grocery store in Colorado when an elderly gentleman with a sneer asked if I thought I was a bad-ass because I carried a gun. I said "no sir. The constitution allows me to bear arms and I'm also a retired police officer. Federal law allows me to be armed." (Now this was about a year after a gunman had killed people in a Boulder, CO grocery store.) Then I said, "but sir, I don't want to offend you, so if someone comes in the store and starts shooting, I will make it a point not to protect you!" He got a strange look on his face and he didn't know what to say so I just walked away.
I will encourage others to buy your book.

Expert advice from experienced professionals

Definitely worth the read and a down and dirty run down of the legalities of carrying a gun. Nice vignettes on the right way to do things along with the wrong way and personal experiences from real world situations to emphasize points. I truly enjoyed it and it was worth my three hours. Highly recommend.

A Necessity for the Contemporary Armed Citizen

The authors effectively dovetailed tactical readiness concepts with relevant legal considerations. This succinct, refined, and well-organized work reinforces adequate preparation for and mature judgement in lethal force scenarios. I look forward to subsequent material from the authors.
