"I have quite a story to tell you. My next announcement is that I will be going away for a long time. You see, today, March 8th, 2025, you know me as Mitchell Church, but that is not my true name. My birth name is McDougal of Inverness, I was born in the year of our Lord 1541, and this is my story...."
So, what does a 16th-century Scotsman, two opposing alien races, three countries, and four centuries have in common with the Loch Ness Monster? Join McDougal as he travels around the world and into space in his quest to save and protect his new friends, the Tacharan. Or as the world knows them, The Loch Ness Monster!

It is about Nessie mixed with out-of-world elements and science fiction. Too much would give the story away, but I had to do double takes throughout listening to remind myself that this was fiction! The author does a fantastic job of getting his facts and resources on the topics throughout the book clear to the point where you contemplate whether this fiction book is possible. Those are my favorite kinds.
The narrator on audible, Tony Atherton, deserves praise as well. His tone was consistent, yet he wove in those singular moments of mood change and made the listener feel as if on a roller coaster of their own emotions. It felt like the narration of a movie. The description and detail in the book were so vivid that if you close your eyes and sit back while listening, your imagination will have no choice but to take those written scenes and clearly visualize them.
The uniqueness and new perspective on the Loch Ness will have any reader, no matter preference of genre in my opinion, flipping page to page or listening scene to scene with ease. While this was an easy story to get through, it is in the most opposite way of degrading it. This was so well developed that the reader or listener will want nothing more than to get through it all in one sitting! I recommend to everyone interested in science fiction or any genre for that matter!
Great Story!
