For that matter, did they even rescue a sentient species, or has he doomed his own family and species to extinction by rescuing nothing more than a diseased animal?

Everything about this is phenominal!

The story is very engaging. Some tough topics to digest, but definitely worth the listen. There were laughs and cries throughout the listen. Poor Jessica has had such a tough time and I can't wait to read/hear how everything is sorted in the next book. I highly recommend giving this one a listen. It flips the human/house cat roles in a way, but also has alien worlds, and species learning to communicate through language barriers. The narrators are amazing. They do a really good job of giving each character their own voice and conveying the emotions behind the words.

Seriously...pick it up. You won't regret it!
