Loved it!

Another great audiobook about the Evers family and their adventures. Each one of these I listen to makes me want to get deeper and deeper into the family history and makes me want more and more. Really well written and perfectly narrated. I can't wait to listen to part 4!

Original, and Entertaining!

This is the third book in The Evers Series, a fantasy clean series. The characters are well developed, and interesting. The story continues where the second book left off. The storyline is original, clean, and entertaining. There is a lot going on in this installment. Great narration from Valerie Rose Lohman. Looking forward to listening to The World Jumper, the next book in the series. #StoryOrigin

Lola is back from summer school and adjusting to the changes, the biggest is her new older half brother - which means she may not have to be the custodian after all. I will admit that their lavish lifestyle has gotten a bit irritating and too convenient, and I'm struggling to stay connected to the characters. There continues to be mostly superficial conflict until in the last 1/3 of this book where it picks up and does get quite a bit more interesting. I'm looking forward to the next book when she goes back to the academy (a bit reminiscent of Hogwarts but has it’s own flair) for the school year and to see where the new plot line goes. These do need to be read in order and while they don't have a huge cliff hanger, each book has a definite pull to read the next one.

The narrator fit the main character well and did a good job with the differentiations. I did prefer listening at 1.25x speed.

Cliffhanger Ending

Yeah this is the first one to end on a cliffhanger, but although it leaves you wondering and wanting more it's not the jarring, enraging type of cliffhanger at least to me. I appreciate an author that knows how to make sure you want more but without being predictable and/ or overusing the same tactics to make you keep reading. It's a sign of talent and intelligence which the MCs don't always display themselves... I have lots of questions and hope the final book has the answers I need 😂.
