Great start to a new series

I’m always up for a new series by an author I like and this is no exception. I think that what struck me most was the way that Gavin completely accepts Roxie’s strength and ability to participate in resolving the problem. If there is a weakness I’d say it was in the fact that the title leads you to expect a “cowboy romance” but, at least at this point in the series, the fact that Gavin’s security team is housed at his ranch is almost incidental. This is a short novel, so the resolution of the plot is quicker and neater than what it might be, but now I’m eagerly waiting to see what direction this series will take. More, please, Ms. James. Lots more!

The storyline

It has a well developed plot that has plenty of depth and characters that draws you into their world
Plenty of action drama suspense and romance with plenty of steam.
The narrator was easy on the ears and did a fantastic job of bringing the book and characters to life.

Loved it!

What a great book! JT’s voice is wonderful, too. I cannot wait for the next book.

Gavin’s strength and protectiveness

I really liked this book . Roxie’s had such a hard time with events in her life. She really needs someone to fish her out of the mire. Gavin zeros in to her and knows just what she needs!! As always JT if fabulous!

The Trail Boss

This is the first book in the Silver Spur Security series. It is a sort of enemies to lovers, although the heroine is more defiant than an enemy. She has run into trouble because of her dead husband, and one of her friends calls in Silver Spur. It takes her a while to admit she needs help, but Gavin wins her over, saves the day, and they get their HEA. JT’s narration is great as usual.
