When Remi sneaks away from his family on a deer-hunting trip, he has one goal in mind: to successfully hunt the biggest buck in all the West, The Phantom. But he quickly realizes that he is hopelessly lost. In desperation, he takes shelter in a cave. When he awakens the next morning, he finds he has been mysteriously transported back in time to 1855. How can he survive the rugged wilderness so far away from everything he has ever known?

This is a wonderful story about growing up, learning from one's mistakes and learning to listen to people who have already been in the shoes of the young boy. The story included many life lessons translatable to most any current day situation. The narrator did a wonderful job of sliding between characters, giving them their own voices and enhancing the written personalities the author provided. This is a great title for a family listen to enhance the story and life lessons with your own.

Excellent story and fantastic narration.
