I think this is my favorite book out of the series ( so far ). The Unwelcomed comes alive in vivid color thanks to S.W. Salzman but you might want to hold off on the thanks until you find out whether you can sleep tonight. That vivid color I mentioned.....well there is a lot of red .....a .....lot....of....red. Blood red to be exact. What else would you expect from Mike Evans. If Mr. Evans writes it, I'll read it. If Mr. Salzman narrates it, I'll listen to it. Both these men are brilliant at what they do, maybe a little too brilliant. Highly recommend !

Whew, I made it thru this book alive!!! Lol. if you need or like to read something that will scare the pants off of you, this series will do it. I love Mike Evans books and on the audio, Shawn Salzman did an amazing job (like always).i don't want to say too much about this series, I don't want to spoil anything. Just always beware of Strangers!!! And don't forget to read this series.

This is my second time through the series and I'm not a hundred percent sure what that means when it comes to my own constitution.
All I can say is don't even start the series unless you are comfortable with the hills have eyes type gore multiplied by about 100.
I would say that this is just a gore fest to read except that there is actually a fairly compelling story being told.
I'm not sure that it needs to be as graphic as it is, or what it says about me now that In on my second read through, but jeez louise I surely hope that this author just has a very very overactive sadistic imagination.
Normally I would not go for a book with this much extreme detailed horror, even though I read zombie books by the dozen lol, but as I said before; if you have an iron stomach and can see past the gore there is actually a really compelling story.
Don't say you weren't forewarned.

Hope you have a strong stomach.

The Stranger thinks it is time to retire and goes and finds a place deep in a huge piece of woods where hopefully people won't bother him and most of all temp him back to killing ways. But that doesn't happen and the stranger finds he was ready to hang up his ax. But how close did FBI agent Grey get while the Stranger was taking his break?

This is another welcomed book from Evans, after almost a year since The Stranger came out on audio, and another warning it is probably no one you want to listing to late at night, by yourself, especially in a older creakier house. Narrator SW Salzman makes it creepy enough with the voices he uses, you won't want anything else to freak you out, as this book is not for those faint at heart. But both author and narrator do such a awesome job that you just can't stop once you get started, so I am warning you now, last time, really no turning back.

A bloody good time of a book. Great Story, and the audio performance was top of the line. The narrator has an excellent voice and a great range of voices.

A Bloody good time.
