Story drew me in!

Thoroughly enjoyed the story and the performance!
I was so involved in the characters and what was going on in the story that I was caught a bit off guard when ending one chapter and going to the next and the chapter header was so loud. Some of the chapters were quite short, so these breaks were even more noticeable.

I will definitely explore other books by this author and this narrator!

Fascinating

"The Unwinding Cable Car" (2020, 2021) by Andrew Brandt is a fascinating novella about writer Hamilton Raines, whose books haven’t sold well. Hamilton’s luck changes for the better when he meets a young writer, and later a seductive muse at a coffee shop. Afterward, due to an upcoming novel, he becomes a huge celebrity. However, all is not as it seems. The story grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it until the fateful end. Narrator Andrew Gibson’s talents add to the drama. Awful title but highly recommended. At my request, I was given this free audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

Outstanding!

Not usually into this type of book but, may have to read more of these. From start to finish, kept me listening. Mr. Gibson does a great job of making it an enjoyable listen. His voice inflection and diction is just right. Look forward to hearing more of his narrations.

Interesting concepts and journey

Interesting concepts, including the title’s meaning. Even though I saw the ending coming, it took me to places I didn’t always suspect.

The Unwinding Cable Car

I thought this was going to be a simple, straightforward psycho muse story, but I was wrong. Well worth the read or listen. The narrator does an excellent job, both with conveying the emotions of the characters, and differentiating between the tones of the characters. I recommend this book.
