As far as story goes, there is little to read or comment on. The science fantasy mix was interesting but this whole book felt like a filler fluff garbage. I’m really hoping that the third is like the first and actually action oriented. Building out a world is fine but you need to have more interaction with different people to keep this reader engaged.

Very Technical

I personally like the technical world-building aspect of this story even it does tend to make for a very dry/bland listen after a few hours of scientific experiments with the same set of skills. The main character does progress quite a bit though it doesn’t really present in any noticeable way just yet. Overall I think it’s a good setup to building the MC into somewhat of a future powerhouse so the story should expand nicely.

Could have done with more story and less technical skill building. the constant skill barrages take up a majority of the book and lessen the experience of the world building.

First book was better

This follow up book was a let down a lot of missed opportunities and filler pages with repeating status entries. Will not purchase book but may read if available on audible.
