I was hooked

Wish it was duet format. This had me hooked so bad and the cliffhanger ugh June needs to hurry up! The plot was good and I have so many questions. I loved Elio and his short and blunt dialogue. Sometimes I would question some of his decisions because it didn’t feel like a mafia king but a lot man in his trauma but I’d take him any day and help him lol. And Zahra ugh she annoyed me at times with some of er decision making. I found kind of odd the fact that they spoke Spanish instead of Italian when the story is held in Italy. Overall I really enjoyed it and looking forward to book 2.

mafia mystery romance with plot twists galore

3.75 stars rounded up, mafia romance with plot twists galore! This starts out kind of slow but by 60%ish I was hooked...and confused! I didn't know who I should be rallying behind, Zahra or Elio. I enjoyed the banter and tension between the two, and the found family that Zahra has. Check your triggers for this one, lots of past trauma between the MMC and FMC.

Warning cliffhanger

I know Rebecca didn't just end the book the way she did. Fair warning before you start reading this book it is a major cliffhanger. It would have been nice if I was warned. It did take some time to get into the book but once you get into it you can't put it down. Elio's character is heartbreaking. But I'm still stuck on the fact that the book ended the way it did. Now I have to sit here or wait for book two cuz there has to be a book two she can't end this like this. If she does she's going to have to pay for my therapy sessions. Ugh 😩I'm not okay..
