Orlando private investigator Scott Jarvis is celebrating his birthday with friends and his new lover when one of Florida’s most powerful drug lords requests an audience. Apparently, a large shipment of cocaine was smuggled into the state resulting in a couple of murders… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Apparently, the dope is poisoned and is headed for the streets where thousands of lives are at risk.

The next day, Harry O’Mally, Captain of OPD homicide, asks Scott to check up on his son. Kevin O’Mally has been screwing around with dope and his parents fear he’s getting in deeper than he can handle.

As Jarvis begins to dig, he soon discovers that the two incidents are related and that the stakes are even higher than anyone knows – someone is vying for power and wants to take down Florida’s biggest drug dealers and place themselves in ultimate power… and 200 kilos of poisoned blow just might topple the status quo.

Now, as the pressure increases, Jarvis has to find Kevin and unlock the secret of who’s behind the drug sting. As he gets closer, people begin to vanish and a mysterious assassin is one step ahead of Jarvis, killing everyone he’s pursuing one by one…

The clock is ticking as the death count rises – can Scott Jarvis solve this puzzle before his life, the state and perhaps the whole country is drowned in a flood of blood and deadly narcotics?

Another exciting Jarvis adventure. Very little use of his ICCE connections as in recent books. SWC’s books are never stale, you really won’t know who done it until the end. Somebody peak around the wall and insure Dave Alexander is working on narrating the next Jarvis. Until then…

Best Book of the Series

From start to finish this book just kept going strong and you never knew the true path until almost the very end. This style of writing is surely missed in most modern authors and was a pleasure to read all the way until the closing credits. David did an amazing job narrating the story as always adding more enjoyment for the readers. BZ Scott

Scott Cook does a great job keeping his stories new and interesting. There are always some good twists!

I love this series!

This book as well as the earlier ones are just delightful ! I am pretty good at figuring out the ending, however I did not see this one coming. In addition, I love the voice actor! As a stage actor/director I know what it takes for this type of performance. He is masterful! It also helps that he has a great script to work from. I think Will Shakespeare would appreciate the author and the performer. He is giving me ideas about trying my hand at book narration. Please keep coming with more. Bravo!
